Worth the Money September 4, 2010 Cryzabey When I got this product in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it included a white recharge pack with it. I know, it's nothing amazing, but it did make the $20 I spent on the thing seem like less of a detriment to my wallet. The thing appears to be pretty sturdy. Comparatively, it appears to be made from the same material of a 360 controller, only.. Maybe a tad less durable/nice. It has great charge speeds, uses an easily replaceable power cord, and even has LED lights to tell you if your battery's good for gaming.
However, the biggest noticeable flaw seems to be the units ability to *detect* the battery that's snapped into place. You know how sometimes old packs or controllers suddenly "lose connection" with one another and your controller does a mini-reboot mid-game? Well, the same thing applies to this charge pack. Initial detection of packs isn't always 100% GO, but 99 times out of 100, once the LED lights are on, it should charge until your battery's full.
All-in-all, it's a nice station to quickly charge your battery's. Coupled with two USB controller recharger cords, and charging packs will never again stall your and your friends game time [:
Pros:
- Comes with an extra [white] recharge pack.
- Charges much more quickly than a controller plugged into the 360.
- Has handy-dandy LEDs that notify you when your charge packs are good to go.
Cons:
- Battery detection's a bit finicky. (See Above)
Note:
Not entirely sure why the review form asks for questions about "this game." It's a recharge station, pretty much any conceivable game involving this product would induce boredom.
Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit August 15, 2010 Brett A. Borgstede 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered this product hoping that I would never have to buy battery's. I was so excited that I would no longer have to run upstairs in the middle of an online game to get battery's while letting my teammates down.
I ordered this as a Gift to myself. It arrived while I was gone out of town. By the time I got back it was ready for me to open and start my never-ending gaming sessions. I pulled it out of the package and plugged it up. The Green status light lit up for about a second and then went off. It doesn't recognize my battery pack. I bought an extra battery pack just incase so I could have one charging and one I am playing with. The battery packs don't even fit into the controller perfectly, if your controller is vibrating it will fall right out.
The "Kit" itself only comes with one battery pack unlike what is shown in the picture, this kind of upset me from the beginnning. So now my battery packs are dead weeks after I purchased the item and my "Refund window" has expired.
So I now obtained a nice paper weight/brick to hold my carpet down. This upset me greatly.
Horrible product, small refund window, only one battery pack, short cables, off-sized battery packs and misfunctioning products. I absolutely would not recommend buying this. Please don't waste your money. You would be better off buying a Cheaper Play & Charge kit.
Best Charger Period! August 2, 2010 XboxZombie (USA) I'v had this charger for about 3 years now and unless you have a AA rechargable batteries this is a must have. I have 2 batteries so when one dies I pop in the other charged battery. Charges super fast and never had a problem with it. GET IT!!!
Great product June 30, 2010 dsyoji I got this charger shortly after I got my first 360 (only had 2) and has lasted longer than both of them (3+ years). Saves alot of time and makes it easier to switch out battery packs. Awesome product
